DESCRIPTION: Real baby Paua shells dangle on hypoallergenic 18k gold-plated ear dangle wires . Uniquely New Zealand, paua (also known as abalone) are considered taonga (treasure) to Maori and the rest of New Zealanders. Unlike other Paua shell jewellery, we intentionally chose sun-bleached shells with subtle lustre. Sustainably and ethically harvested from a Northland Paua Farm.

PROVENANCE STORY: Paua are considered taonga (treasure) to Maori and to the rest of New Zealanders. Both for its stunning beauty and its gastronomic taste. It has a thin finely sculptured shell. Paua shell eyes feature prominently on Maori carvings in almost any Marae or meeting house. Outsourced from a sustainable Northland Paua Farm.

SHELL SIZE: Approx. 16 – 20mm long. There will be slight size and shape variations due to its natural elements.

EARRING WIRE LENGTH: 40mm long (plus length of natural element)
